Best David Bowie Songs Controversial?

How search engines help artists promote their music online, could be exciting news for an artist. With the music industry changing, and the online downloads growing, artists need to be knowledgeable on how to promote themselves online. There are websites that can help artists get their websites noticed. It is important to be able to obtain a ranking for their web page. A website is not really affective for promoting an artist's music, if the site is unable to attract traffic to the web page. How does an artist get their web page ranked, and why is it important for an artist to have such a ranking?

Yesterday was another rainy, cold day here in SoCal so for the most part David and I stayed in doors and under the warm covers. We did venture out last night to hang out with our dear friend Angie and her beautiful daughter Kendall who we hadn’t seen in a few weeks. Angie and I had been talking about hanging out for a while so last night was the perfect opportunity.

We made our way to Sherman Oaks, CA to meet up with Ange and Kendall at The Cheesecake Factory for a bite to eat. Kendall snapped this amazingly cool photo of me on her mom’s iPhone so I thought I would share it with all y’all:

It’s a shame that it was so wet and cold yesterday because we didn’t get much chance to hang out as much as we would’ve liked. It was really great getting to catch up with Angie … I think we are planning on another hang out session later this week. As a former DJ, Angie has got a LOT of vinyl records so we are planning a record party at my place. And speaking of … my new record player has been getting a lot of use in the past few days … I managed to pick up a bunch of really amazing records … including Mantaray by Siouxsie Sioux:

I’m not sure how long this love for vinyl phase will last but I hope for a long time. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to slow down and appreciate music more, on vinyl as much as possible. I haven’t really spent any real time getting to know albums like I used to. In this age of downloading tracks in seconds and then moving on to the next batch of songs, I have been very lax in getting to know albums. I can’t even tell you the last time I took the time to learn the lyrics of an entire album. Slowing down with vinyl will hopefully help me get back into the practice of appreciating music again.

It’s the first Monday of the New Year, I hope it’s been a good one for you thus far!!

How to Choose the Right Set of Electronic Drums: Four Important Factors to Consider

Surely there is no one who does not enjoy some sort of music. No matter what country he may belong to and no matter what language it may, there may be extremely few people who do not like to listen to some sort of music or other. Rather than buy an album just because you love one particular song in it, you can today select individual songs from various albums and create your own playlist and you will have just the songs that you would love to hear all the time.

A new batch of previously unseen promo photos of popstar-turned-actress Christina Aguilera have made their way to the Internets and they are … interesting … to say the least. The photos were shot by Andrew Macpherson and feature a relatively fresh-faced Xtina. The pics are worth checking out, especially since Xtina is not wearing her garish trademark red lipstick.

Thank the sweet baby Jebus that Macpherson got Xtina to pose without all the red lipstick. I think she looks a million times better when her make-up is light. To be honest, some of these photos are cheesy as Hell … but they’re not bad. Macpherson photographed some of the promo photos for Burlesque (including the official movie poster) as well as shoots for Natalie Portman, P!nk, Britney Spears and others. These photos are fun … playful … and much better than many of Xtina‘s other promo photos. What do y’all think … do you like?

Throughout the career of any professional or amateur musician, there are many challenges and options that he or she will have to overcome. No matter what type of instrument you play, either if you are a guitar player, drummer, percussionist, bass guitar player, keyboard player or a little of all of them, the options and choices you do, would invariable shape your musical path as well as your sound. It's very common for young and beginners a like, to start their musical career with a modest or somewhat limited musical instrument.

APPLE CUP 2010: Time To Exorcise Some Demons – CougCenter

October 28th, 2006.  It's my senior year at Washington State.  I'm sitting in my house with some friends watching the Cougs take on UCLA.  DeMaundray Woolridge rumbles for a game clinching touchdown that gives the Cougs their sixth win of the year, making them bowl eligible with three games to play.  My friends and I are making bowling motions.  I declare that it is nice to finish my college career the same way it started, with a good Cougar football team. Fast forward three weeks to November 18th, 2006.  The Cougs come into the Apple cup having lost their previous two games and will actually require won more win to guarantee a trip to a bowl.  Situation sound familiar? It is exactly what the Huskies face today (Except for the fact that they are trying to get to 6 wins, and will go to a high-profile, decent payout bowl if they do.

We started out the night at David’s sister Eden’s place were we ordered in take-out and just watched TV. Then we made our way to Industry for drinks with Kurt and Isaac. I guess Industry is the hot new place in town … which we loved. The video playlist was superb … and we got a lot of Britney Spears to keep me happy. Yeah, that was our night. No biggie.

Tonight, David and I are seeing Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. At last, I’ll be able to see the show for myself … and I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on it with all y’all. Afterward, we’re planning to meet up with some of my friends here in the city. I know we should be meeting up with Ultragrrl Sarah and Gurj but hopefully Brad and Christian, too. Learn To Play The Guitar And Survive Hard Times

To the question whether the violin and viola are same musical instruments - the answer is Yes and No. As compared to violin, the viola is much larger in physical size as well as longer string lengths. Besides, the viola is generally strung with thicker strings than the violin. The thicker strings of the viola mean that more pressure must be applied with the bow to make them produce sound.

The following section detail the steps that can help you control the sound of your (probably less-than-perfect) room during mixing. Get a good pair of near-field monitors - Near-field monitors are designed to be listened to up close (hence the near in their name) and can lessen the effects that the rest of the room has on your ability to accurately hear them and to get a good mix. Why Is It Essential to Hire Professional Piano Movers?

Whether it is a rock concert or symphony orchestra, it is always better to see music performed live than to simply listen to it on a recording. There are many reasons why this is true. Before you even get to the concert, the build-up and anticipation of the event is very exciting. Just having those concert tickets in hand guarantees that you will experience so much more than if you were sitting at home watching a concert dvd or listening to pre-recorded music.

Britney Spears, Jason Trawick & Boys Return From Their Weekend In Kentwood

Earlier today we got to see some photos of the Spears family enjoying all the down home Southern comforts of Kentwood, Louisiana over the long Thanksgiving weekend and right now we get to see photos of Britney Spears and her man Jason Trawick making their arrival at LAX Airport here in Los Angeles, CA late [...]

Stop the presses, y’all. Actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco have just been signed to host the 83rd annual Academy Awards show on February 27, 2011. It was rumored that the pair were being courted for the gig and they must’ve both said yes as quickly as they could cuz now it’s official … Anne and James will be hosting the Oscars!

James Franco and Anne Hathaway have been tabbed to co-host the Feb. 27 Academy Awards. Both have films currently in release: Franco stars in “127 Hours” and Hathaway co-stars with Jake Gyllenhaal in “Love and Other Drugs.” Neither have hosted before, but Hathaway participated in a song-and-dance routine when Hugh Jackman hosted in 2009. Move comes a year after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences had Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin front the show. The Oscars will be telecast by ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

While this will not be the first time that actors have co-hosted the Oscars I believe this is the first time such young actors have been tapped for the job. I LOVED Anne‘s song-and-dance bit with host Hugh Jackman during the 2009 Oscars (so much so that I would LOVE to have Hugh Jackman host the Oscars every year) so I think she will make a great host. Paired with Franco, well, it’ll be very interesting to see how it all plays out. The Academy Awards play much better to the older Hollywood set so I’m curious to see if the young duo will cater to the older, traditional Oscar watcher or if they’ll youngen up the awards show. I would’ve never guessed that either of these two would ever get to host the Academy Awards … let’s just hope they don’t eff it all up.

So … what do y’all think?

Earlier today we got to see some photos of the Spears family enjoying all the down home Southern comforts of Kentwood, Louisiana over the long Thanksgiving weekend and right now we get to see photos of Britney Spears and her man Jason Trawick making their arrival at LAX Airport here in Los Angeles, CA late last night with Britney‘s two sons Sean Preston and Jadyen James in tow:

As you can see, the kids were really tired from all the traveling so I’m sure the entire family was happy to be home again. Now that Thanksgiving is over, Britney will likely get right back to work on her new album for as long as she can because the Xmas holiday will be here in no time. I’m happy to see Britwick and the boys home safe and sound … cuz now, Britney is that much closer to hittin’ us with new music ;D
